Since 1974, Calgary TELUS Convention Centre has been contributing to Calgary’s vibrant economy and serving as an ambassador to the world.
Calgary TELUS Convention Centre (CTCC) is nestled in the foothills of the majestic Canadian Rocky Mountains and invigorated by its location in the heart of Calgary’s downtown. This best-of-both-worlds offering can be found throughout both the city of Calgary and CTCC.
Officially opened on November 14, 1974, CTCC has been at the heart of Calgary gatherings for more than 30 years. With approximately 122,000 square feet of space, CTCC can accommodate groups as small as four and as large as four thousand. Our flexible space includes 36 meeting rooms, 47,000 square feet of exhibit space, a 20,000 square foot ballroom and five pre-function areas. And although our facility is completely dedicated to conventions, meetings and events, we are conveniently connected through indoor pathways to three four-star hotel partners.
Though CTCC has an award-winning reputation for superior operations, we continue to upgrade facilities to the highest possible standards of cleanliness, safety, social responsibility and environmental sustainability. Each and every staff member takes pride in recent efforts to promote conservation, recycling and enlightened waste management practices throughout CTCC. This important work has already paid enormous dividends, leading to enhanced cost efficiency as well as a heightened sense of shared purpose and cohesive team spirit.
CTCC is owned by The City of Calgary and operated by the Calgary Convention Centre Authority. Hosting an average of 1,000 conventions and business conferences each year allows CTCC to deliver Calgary’s message of friendship, prosperity and enlightened growth to countless first time visitors every year.
These are only a few of the characteristics that inspired The Economist magazine to rank Calgary, in 2006, as the second best city in the world for business travelers.
