VICE PRESIDENT, EXPERIENCE

The Vice President, Experience (“VP”) will seek to answer the question “how do we become the best in the world at being a Convention Centre?” From contract to event delivery to client follow-up, the VP will re-imagine excellence in client service delivery, and continually lay the groundwork for every event to be a flawless experience.

Reporting to the President & CEO, the VP is responsible for the overall operation of the Facility (Engineering and Maintenance), Client Services and IT Departments, ensuring business strategies, plans and programs are aligned with the Centre’s overall business strategy and direction. This position will contribute to corporate short and long term business planning, budget (operating and capital) and policy and procedures development and management and support of the employees needs to ensure exceptional service levels to the client.  The VP ensures consistent and streamlined execution of all standards pertaining to service, quality, facility maintenance, safety and presentation resulting in a superior overall client experience.

VICE-PRESIDENT, ACCELERATION (SALES AND MARKETING)

Reporting to the President + CEO, the Vice-President, Acceleration (“VP”) will be responsible for enhancing the business capacity of the CTCC by developing new lines of business, increasing repeat business revenues, and creating and delivering targeted events to meet the needs of Calgary.  More than a sales & marketing position, the CTCC is seeking an entrepreneurial leader who can not only develop innovative business concepts, but take those concepts to reality. The VP’s scope will encompass sales & event management, brand development, marketing development, target marketing, intelligence on customers and competitors, performance management (KPI’s and ROI) and general management of the business development/sales, research and event management function.

The VP will actively participate in the development and implementation of the 2017-2020 Strategic Initiatives of developing new lines of business, growing the economic impact, developing a community hub, improving the client experience and increasing global market penetration.  The VP will oversee the development of goals, strategies and implementation plans to execute a comprehensive and cohesive sales, marketing and event management plan for the Centre.
