David Spero, Executive Chef

In March 2016, David Spero became the executive chef at the Calgary Marriott Downtown, the exclusive caterer for the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre.

Chef Spero has extensive experience the hospitality industry. Before moving to Calgary, he was executive sous chef at the J.W. Marriott Grande Lakes in Orlando, Florida. Spero worked at The Peaks Resort and Spa in Telluride, Colorado; the Grand Wailea Resort and Spa in Maui, Hawaii; the Ritz-Carlton in Naples, Florida; and the Portofino Bay Hotel in Orlando, Florida.
