Calgary, AB, June 10, 2009 – Calgary Convention Centre Authority Chair, Laurel Wood, announced that Clive Beddoe will Chair the newly formed Concept Development Committee for the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre Proposed Expansion Facilities.
Successful negotiations have resulted in the contract signing between local Calgary firm Cohos Evamy integratedesign™ and partner LMN Architects for Prime Consultant Services Expanded Convention Centre Facilities. The consultants will provide services to determine potential sites for expanded facilities, development of a Master Plan and building design.
The Concept Development Committee will monitor progress of the Calgary Convention Centre Authority’s Phase One activities. The committee will be chaired by well known Calgary businessman and WestJet founder, Clive Beddoe (see attached bio). Committee membership will include members of the Calgary Convention Centre Authority’s existing Development Committee, as well as the City of Calgary and Calgary Economic Development. The Concept Development Committee will provide advice and counsel to the Convention Centre Authority and Cohos Evamy integratedesign™.
