Calgary Convention Centre Authority Announces New Board Members for 2011

City Council has appointed six new members to the Calgary Convention Centre Authority Board:
- Alderman Richard Pootmans
- Bob Holmes, Retired
- Lois Lockwood, Scout Communications
- Gregg Saretsky, WestJet
- Michael Tumback, STRIKE Energy
- Karen Young, City of Calgary
Brad Krizan, Board Chair, noted “The new members will bring invaluable experience with regard to strategic planning and will help strengthen an already well rounded Board. The Authority met in January for a planning session to assist in defining and developing goals and objectives for the coming years. The new Board is excited to assist the already successful management team at the Centre.”
The above appointees join existing Board members:
- Brad Krizan, EnCana Corporation (Chair)
- Darren Demchuk, Meyers Norris Penny (Audit Committee Chair)
- Brian Rogers, Q.C., Rogers and Company
- Dr. Mark Zivot, Hartel Holding Company
- City of Calgary Mayor (Naheed Nenshi)
